Upper Stour Valley - Flatford and Dedham
August 2026 · Lat: 51.9493 , Lng: 1.0462
This is an easy walk from Manningtree station and takes you up the Stour valley beyond the tidal waters.
This is the place to see some of the locations for Constable’s paintings.
The Stour was historically an important water route with barges taking goods up from Mistley to Sudbury.
It is today a good spot for swimming and hiring rowboats and paddleboards.
