A sailing trip from Malahide in Ireland to Newlyn in Cornwall via Arklow, Kilmore Quay, and the Scilly Isles.

The trip down the East coast of Ireland was chill. Fair winds and nice harbours.

We had a blast going over to the Scilly Isles with good following wind and a spinnaker out. Overnight with a lovely moonrise at 3am.

Arriving in the Scillies we anchored in a delightful pool. All ashore for a real coffee. Rest and a barbecue on an island we had to ourselves.

Over to St Mary’s on a short day but care needed navigating rocky channels. Then a sweet run over to Newlyn where we rafted alongside a rusting trawler.
