This was a surprisingly excellent stretch of the England Coastal Path.

There is a steep climb out of Hastings but you are then in a lovely country park.

The walking is easy along wide grassy paths with views across the Channel.

The final stage brings you down into the Pett Levels with a good swimming beach.

I finished with a path inland along the old Royal Military Canal to Winchelsea.
