I have sailed in the Solent area a few times with training schools. I was immediately taken with the moorings at Bucklers Hard up the Beaulieu river and tried to return on each new trip.

There are only a few moorings and buildings here. It can get busy with day-trippers but the evenings are quiet and magical. And you feel the history of when it was established to build boats in the 18th century.
